According to Polaris..this year’s Baja 1000 course was the toughest in race history. An array of car-sized boulders, horrible silt sections and surprise obstacles through a 60-mile section of 4-ft. whoop-de-dos claimed many of the 347 racers.

On November 30, 2008, the Polaris/Lone Star/Eichner Racing team prepared ATV racing legend and Multi-Time World and National Champion Doug Eichner for the ninth and final round of the ITP QuadCross race held at Glen Helen Raceway, located in San Bernardino, Calif.

Going into the final round of the Open Pro class aboard the Polaris Outlaw 525 S, Eichner’s Outlaw was equipped with enhanced performance and exhaust by Yoshimura R&D of America Inc., front arms, axle and steering stem by Lone Star Racing, FOX Racing Shox suspension, MAXXIS Tires, DWT Wheels, GPR Stabilizer among other superior aftermarket components.

The Polaris Outlaw continues to celebrate successes internationally adding a Dutch Championship and taking all three podium spots in the Pharaons Rally in Egypt.

Saturday, November 8, 2008 was a fast, furious and winning day for the Polaris / Lone Star / Eichner Racing Team.
Eichner, straight off the track from his Pro win at the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix, along with support from his trusted motor builder, George Fickett from Yoshimura R&D of America Inc. and friend & pit support, Larry Heidler, packed quickly and made a dash to the Perris Auto Speedway where the Ricky Johnson Off-Road GP was being held Saturday evening.
